Sodexo at SMCC in South Portland is looking for a reliable, energetic person to fill a position that requires performing multiple job fuctions. We are looking for a person with retail experience that can run stock, cashier, and interact well with customers.
*Interacts with customers/employees in a friendly and courteous manner and provides the highest quality of service to customers
*Operates POS register, receives payments of cash, checks and charges from customers for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts to customers.
*Maintains proper security of cash at all times using Sodexo cash handling policies and procedures.
*Interacts with customers and employees in a friendly and courteous manner and provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times
*Keeps cashier area neat and professional, including maintaining the display boards.
*Brews Coffee and stocks location as needed
*Delivers, lifts, moves, stores, counts, sorts, product to the retail location.
*Follows all safety standards for food safety and physical safety
*Adheres to personal hygiene standards
*Follows uniform guidelines for this position
*Ability to operate all equipment safely
*Follows all safety standards for food safety and physical safety
*Follows all procedures and standards as outlined in the
*Sodexo Employee Handbook and the Unit Specific Work Rules Document
*Follows all HACCP and safety standards for food, physical and chemical safety
Physical Demands: Specific characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
